                                       Call For Peer Mentor Applications

The Newfoundland and Labrador Foster Families Association has developed a Peer Mentoring Program and is now beginning the process of selecting peer mentors. Our goal is to have the program up and running by December. If you have been fostering for five years or more and would like to provide support to new foster parents, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Below, please see the peer mentor role description and the peer mentoring pamphlet. This is a volunteer position and mentors will not be paid for their time, however a small honorarium will be provided. Costs will be covered for foster parents to participate in peer mentor training.

If you are interested in this exciting new opportunity, you can request an application by contacting Amy at amykendall@nfld.net or by phone 754-0213 or 1-877-754-0218 (toll free). The deadline for applications is October 15, 2017.

If you are a new foster home or have been fostering for less than two years and are interested in being matched with a peer mentor, you can also contact Amy for more information.
